Samuel Warren (150648580) Suggested edit: From the News-Herald of Hillsboro, Ohio, 2 Aug 1900 Thurs. Pg.1 - SAMUEL WARREN. Samuel Warren, one of Hillsboro's aged and respected citizens, died at his home in the city Saturday, July 28th, after a short illness. He was 84 years of age, having been born in Devonshire, England, in 1816. Before moving to this country he was united in marriage to Asenath Hannford. To this union were born six children, four of whom died in early childhood (Sarah Ann, Harriet, Susan A., and George E.) The two who survive him are Mrs. Frank (Laura Jane) Hott, of Hillsboro, and Frank Warren, of Denver, Co. Mrs. Warren was a devoted, faithful Christian wife, and her last words to her husband, before her death of typhoid fever, which occurred in Sept. 1859, were: "Bring our children up in the fear of the Lord." Mr. Warren moved to Hillsboro in 1852, and was ever an honest and industrious citizen. He was a life-long member of the M. E. Church, but on account of failing health had been unable to attend the past few years. The funeral services were held from his late residence Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. M. LeSourd, and the remains interred in the cemetery here by the side of his beloved wife. Contributor: Audrey Staples (47225868)
