Martha Young born c1793 Ireland died 13 June 1868 at Grafton aged 75 years 10 months (had been blind for 60 years). It may have been this Martha (his sister) that came over on the ship with Samuel and family. She was living with Samuel in 1860 and in 1865 she is with Samuel's widow Mary J. 2. Alexander Young born c1796 Ireland weaver/labourer died 9 March 1869 at Grafton, married Nancy daughter of James and Letitia Bole born c1800 Ireland, died 17 August 1861. 3. SAMUEL YOUNG shoemaker and his wife MARY JANE departed Londonderry 5 April 1847 on the "Marchioness of Clydesdale" and arrived St. John, New Brunswick 17 May 1847. With them were family born in Ireland, Joseph 13, Margaret Jane 11, Alexander 7, John 5 and Samuel 2. There was a Martha Young possibly Samuel's sister who was blind. Alexander Young born c1840 Ireland, died 1 October 1871 Whitinsville, "injured by R. Carrs" (2 wks) aged 32 years 9 months. He was a weaver when he married at Sutton 4 October 1866 Mary Patterson Millbury 20 born Ireland daughter of Daniel and Lavinia Patterson. Children: a. Samuel Young born c1868. b. Daniel Young born c1869, died at West Boylston 19 December 1881 aged 12 years 11 months. c. William John Young born 1 March 1871, died 17 January 1873 Northbridge age 1 year 10 months 17 days. d. Alexander Young born 16 March 1872 Northbridge. D. John Young born c1842 Ireland. E. Samuel Young born c1845 Ireland, married at Northbridge 17 February1872 Nancy Patterson Grafton 20 born Ireland daughter of Dan and Lavinia Patterson. F. Mary E. Young born c1849 Salt Springs, Kings Co. New Brunswick, died 20 January 1879 at Grafton (consumption) aged 30 years 7 months 16 days. She married at Sutton 29 November 1866 Chauncey T. Chase Grafton 21 Carpenter born Killingly, Connecticut son of Smith P. and Eliza A. Chase. G. Matilda A. Young born c1851 St. John's, New Brunswick, died 26 November 1875 at Grafton age 24 years. She married at Millbury 18 September 1869 William A. Wood 20 shoemaker born Grafton son of Lyman and Sally G. (Nichols) Wood. H. Sarah E. "Sally" Young born c1854 St. John's, New Brunswick, died 3 March 1872 at Millbury (consumption). She married at Millbury 23 December 1870 Jonas Hayward Millbury 22 Carder born Willimantic, Connecticut son of Ralph and Maria Hayward.
