Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Chapel in Madrid, with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Madrid. Read More	Sandra Ann Jesse, 75, passed away on October 29, 2018 due to complications of diabetes. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Chapel in Madrid, with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Madrid. Sandra was born February 13, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to Raymond and Marian (Welder) Jesse. Sandra attended school in Napier, Madrid, and Woodward. She graduated from Woodward Community School in 1961. Following graduation, she got a job with Look Magazine in Des Moines where she worked for 19 months. She then decided to attend AIB. Following that, she started working for the Iowa Department of Health in 1963. Sandra retired from there in 2002 as lead operator in the data processing department following 38 years of service. Sandra was an avid bowler for many years. She and her friends, Mary, Dorothy, and Rita traveled Iowa and the United States extensively to attend state and national bowling tournaments. She always enjoyed visiting with family and friends and listening to her favorite singer, Elvis Presley. Sandra is survived by her brother, Larry R. (Jean) Jesse of Ames, IA; two nieces, Heather (Paul) Baboolal of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Kimberly (Andy) Mertes of West Allis, WI; nephew, Donovan (Angel) Billingsley of Ames, IA; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) in memory of Sandra. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
