Description	:	Sandra Jean Claussen was born April 18, 1939, at Omaha to Nobel and Frances (Hightree) Boldan. She grew up in Decatur and attended Decatur Public Schools until the seventh grade, when the family moved to West Point. Sandy attended West Point Public Schools until the ninth grade, when she was unable to continue due to health reasons. On April 4, 1957, she was united in marriage to Don Claussen at Wayne. Read More	Sandra Jean Claussen was born April 18, 1939, at Omaha to Nobel and Frances (Hightree) Boldan. She grew up in Decatur and attended Decatur Public Schools until the seventh grade, when the family moved to West Point. Sandy attended West Point Public Schools until the ninth grade, when she was unable to continue due to health reasons. On April 4, 1957, she was united in marriage to Don Claussen at Wayne. The couple lived in California while Don was serving in the military and returned to Nebraska upon his discharge from the service. They lived on a farm south of Wayne and later moved to West Point. In 1973, the couple moved to Missouri, and it was by Linn, Mo., that Sandy worked at a turkey farm. In 1986, they returned to Nebraska to be near her mother. Don and Sandy moved to Neligh in 1999 and returned to West Point in 2006. Sandy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer. Sandy enjoyed roller skating as a child, reading, crossword puzzles, fishing, collecting angels and traveling to attend country music concerts. Survivors include husband Don Claussen of West Point; children Richard and wife Julie Claussen of Pierce, Darla and husband Randy Bovill of West Point, Doug and wife Ann Claussen of West Point; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Margarete and husband Lewis Lass of West Point, Janice and husband Dale Watts of Fremont. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Pamela Floyd; one brother, Larry Boldan; and one sister, Jerry Henderson.
