Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30, 2020, at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon, IA, with Pastor Bryan Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Lincoln Cemetery, Ridgeway, IA. In consideration of concerns regarding Covid-19, social distancing and wearing of masks is required. Sandra Kay Hove was born August 12, 1939, in Decorah, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Blanche (Tollefson) Anderson; she was the youngest of two children. Sandra was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Ossian, IA, and graduated from Ossian High School. She then started her career at the Ossian Bank. As a teller, Sandra met a customer named Gary Hove; they fell in love and were married on September 10, 1960, at Ossian Lutheran Church. Together, they farmed and raised their family in both Ridgeway and Waukon, IA. In the mid-1990s, they retired from the farm life and Sandra worked for several years at Candlelight Gifts in Waukon. Sandra was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon. She enjoyed going to dances, doing yard work, gardening, and playing cards. Her greatest joys were taking care of her family, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and going to family gatherings. She is survived by her two daughters: grandchildren: brother-in-law sister-in-law ; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Ron . Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary in 2010; her son Bryan Hove; her sister Mildred (Marvin) Miller; and sister-in-law Lois Hove. Honorary casketbearers are Hailey and Lynsey Houg. Casketbearers are Monty, Jamey, and Jordan Kuhn, Scott and Logan Houg, and Mike Ferring. Contributor: DFlood (48494721) •
