She attended grade school at Meadow Grove, District 18, and Tildon High School in Tildon, Nebraska. On April 2, 1961, she married Robert D. Griffith, and they were blessed with three daughters and their husbands, two granddaughters and four grandsons. Sandra was a hard worker, being employed at Skyline Cafe; Merle's Bakery; Bob Lears Cafe; 15 years, Foote and Davies, and she maintained her membership in the Graphic Arts Union. She enjoyed being home caring for her family and grandchildren, being a part of their daily lives. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, puzzle books and John Wayne movies. On Sunday, October 2, 2005, Sandra Kay Griffith, 61, Lincoln, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Left with memories are her devoted husband, Robert, children and grandchildren, all of Lincoln; 4 sisters and their families, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joy Ray; brother, Jacky (Dean) Howard; daughter, Robin Griffith; grandsons, Adam Griffith, Sidney Pickard. Visitation: 2 p.m. Wednesday-noon Thursday at Roper funeral home, 4300 O St., Lincoln, Nebraska. Prayer service: 7 p.m. Wednesday, funeral home. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday, St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1621 Superior St., Lincoln, Nebraska, with Pastor Dan Safarik conducting the services and offering words of comfort. Burial Fairview Cemetery. Ten years later, it became known as Foote and Davies. In 1989, the name was American Signature Graphics, and continued growing until far from being limited to Nebraska farming. In 1997 it became Quebocor printing, but there were labor disagreements. Management made it clear that both Crossroads Press in Effingham, Georgia and the Lincoln company would be closed unless certain agreements were accepted. Lincoln, Nebraska accepted the contract, and that plant was spared.
