Read More	Sandra Hackbarth, 81, of Hampton, died on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Funeral services at the Morgan United Methodist Church, Dows. Sandra Laurene Rash was born on August 28, 1938, in Popejoy, Franklin County, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Selma (Graff) Rash. She graduated from Oakland Township School in Popejoy with the Class of 1956. On October 26, 1958, Sandy married Donald James Hackbarth at the Popejoy Methodist Church. Sandy worked for over thirty years in the printing industry, retiring in 2002. She was also an active member of the farming operation. Sandy loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed games and puzzles. Don and Sandy belonged to a 500 card club and Sandy played Pepper with friends until recently. Sandy liked to play Tripoli and dominoes with the grand kids. She had a running game of Tripoli going with the younger granddaughters that she officially won as she had the most chips the very last time they played. Don and Sandy also played many games of cribbage. Sandy enjoyed having tea parties with the granddaughters. Holiday traditions were a big thing in the family which included grandma Rash's rolls for holiday dinners and candy turkeys for Thanksgiving. At Christmas, family members always had one of their favorite foods wrapped under the tree and the gifts were from "Sandy" Claus. Bob Hograbe received a yearly gag gift, and grandson, Matthew, always got a roll of duck tape. Sandy was a member of the Morgan United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, holding various church offices over the years. She served on the Franklin County CROP Walk committee and was a member of the Franklin County Historical Society, Oak Hill Cemetery Society, and a life member of Franklin General Hospital Auxiliary. Sandy was a past member of CAL P.T.O., Music Boosters and Athletic Boosters. She served as 4-H leader for Hamilton Hustlers 4-H Club and was named an honorary member of Franklin County 4-H. She was also a former member of the Iowa Falls Business and Professional Women and Iowa and Franklin County Cowbelles. Sandy is survived by her husband, Donald Hackbarth of Hampton, Iowa; her children, Donna (David) Bryan of Polk City, Iowa, Janna (Rich) Glenn of West Des Moines, Iowa and Sara (Chris) Buseman of McCallsburg, Iowa; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy McKinley of Alden, Iowa; uncle and aunt, Richard and Jean Graff of Auburn, Virginia; special friend of over seventy years, Sharon Freese of Hollister, Missouri; friends Linda Hamilton of Hampton, Iowa, and Patti Judy of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and many other friends and extended family members.
