Description	:	Sandra (Sandee) Bleick, age 68, of Elgin, ND, passed away at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND, after a 19-year battle with multiple myeloma. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am MT Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church in New Leipzig. Burial at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery at New Leipzig. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00 to 7:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin, with a Rosary and Wake Service starting at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Graduating from Flasher High School in 1964. Being an honor student and salutatorian of her class. College: Bismarck Jr. College, 1966 and Dickinson State College in 1968, getting her teachers degree. Spouse: Robert Bleick married on December 27, 1971, St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher, ND. (He passed away February 27, 2004) Children: 3 boys D., J., and S. Bleick. (all living) Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, one half brother, many nieces and nephews, some aunts, uncles and many cousins. Places worked: Teaching from 1968-2013, HS English Belefiled, Flasher, New Leipzig, Elgin and Carson. (serving as librarian in New Leipzig, Elgin and Carson schools) Places lived: Salem, SD, Flasher, ND, in 1948, Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00 to 7:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin. Naturalist at heart, she loved all things in nature, especially animals. She spent much of her youth with puppies, chickens, horses, and the other farm animals. The “runt” of the litter (always her favorite), her dog Zippy, a one-legged chicken named Chippee, and Gypsy, a foal that ran into a barbed-wire fence and was given to her by her grandfather after she nursed it back to health. A skilled fisherwoman, she spent many days on the riverbank. Preceded in death by grandson Avery Blieck, her parents, grand parents and many aunts and uncles. full obit available upon request
