Mr. Littlejohn was a retired iron worker from Duke Power Company and was a U. S. Army World War II veteran, serving in Europe in the 6th Armored Division under General Patton's command. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of the late Sara Frances Vickers Littlejohn and was the son of the late William Lawrence Littlejohn and Emma Lissie Ruppe Littlejohn. Mr. Littlejohn was a retired iron worker from Duke Power Company and was a U. S. Army World War II veteran, serving in Europe in the 6th Armored Division under General Patton's command. He was a member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Randall Littlejohn and wife, Sandy, and Phillip Joe Littlejohn and wife, Pamela, all of Gaffney; two brothers, Eugene Littlejohn and wife, Patricia, and Alfred Littlejohn, and wife, Helen, all of Gaffney; a sister, Vera Horton of Gaffney; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Littlejohn and Albert Littlejohn. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. M. B. Morrow, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, "Debt Retirement", 501 Buck Shoals Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29341.
