Description	:	May 12, 1912 - Carroll Times - S. N. Griffin, perhaps better known, Sandy or "Doc," of this city was found dead in the family home Sunday morning. It seems that he had not been feeling well of late and the last few days had been treating for indigestion. Saturday evening when the family retired he remained up reading. Sunday morning when the family arose, their feelings can be imagined to find the father lying upon the kitchen floor dead. Griffin, perhaps better known, Sandy or "Doc," of this city was found dead in the family home Sunday morning. It seems that he had not been feeling well of late and the last few days had been treating for indigestion. Saturday evening when the family retired he remained up reading. Sunday morning when the family arose, their feelings can be imagined to find the father lying upon the kitchen floor dead. The county coroner, Dr. Rosier, was summoned and he impanelled a jury but investigation pointed to Mr. Griffin coming to his death through natural causes. Mr. Griffin had been a resident of Carroll the past dozen years or more during which time he worked mostly caring for horses, of which animals he was an ardent lover. He was a man unobstructive, quiet in his ways and not one who mixed generally with everybody. He attended always to his own business and he enjoyed the respect of neighbors and friends alike.
