Description	:	From The Belle Fourche Bee, front page, 1 Mar 1951: Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Gospel Church at Alzada MT for Mrs Sarah Ann Watts, who passed away there Saturday night. Rev Grace Pluimer officiated at the services and interment was in the Alzada Cemetery. Sarah Ann (Motz)Watts was born 26 Oct 1871 at Modale IA. Rev Grace Pluimer officiated at the services and interment was in the Alzada Cemetery. Sarah Ann (Motz)Watts was born 26 Oct 1871 at Modale IA. She came to SE Montana as a girl of 13 with her parents, Mr and Mrs Jeremiah Motz. Except for 8 years when the family lived at Deadwood SD, she had made he home in the Alzada community since. Mrs Watts acted as midwife and nurse in the Alzada community for those many years when it was impossible to have the services of a doctor. She was married to Christie M Watts 28 May 1890 at Logan IA. To this union 10 children were born, 8 of whom survive. The husband died 18 May 1929. Surviving children are Georgia Ann Dodd of Hammond MT, Lanna E Johnstone of Alzada MT, Henry Clay Watts of Smelterville ID, Lucille D Garrett of Catildo ID. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Zillah Sayre of Marmarth ND, and two brothers: John Motz of Alzada MT and George Motz of Riggins ID. Mrs Watts came to this country in a covered wagon train with her family, and was in Rapid City when the first railroad train arrived there. She also was a resident of Alzada at the time that the Axelby fight took place. She was a lover of flowers and poetry, and her principal hobbies were raising flowers and quilting.
