Read More	Blakely Funeral Home Sara Louise Painter Mullinax (April 24, 1934 - June 30, 2015) Sara Louise Mullinax Gaffney, SC - - Sara Louise Painter Mullinax, 81, formerly of 300 Springwood Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 while a resident at Brookview Healthcare. Born in Cherokee County, she was the wife of Rev. Carl Vernon Mullinax. A wife, homemaker, and mother, she was also a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church of Gaffney along with her husband. She also retired from Oxford Industries. She was the daughter of the late Rochelle D. and Ida Harris Painter. She was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Painter. She also has one sister, Mrs. Betty Jo Painter of Gaffney. The mother of four boys, Dennis Rodney Mullinax and wife, Janet, James Larry Mullinax and wife, Becky, Avery Lynn Mullinax and wife, Rita. She was the grandmother of seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Carl Mullinax of the home and one granddaughter, Sara Jan Mullinax. Mrs. Mullinax was a faithful Christian servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Phillips, Rev. Dwight Easler and Rev. Mike Ohler officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Northside Baptist Church “Building Fund”, P.O. Box 508, Gaffney, SC 29342.
