Funeral Services were held 11 am Friday, December 22, 2017 in the Faith Lutheran Church, Valley City with burial at Memory Gardens at a later date. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening in the Faith Lutheran Church, Valley City with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visitation was one hour prior to the service in the church. Oliver-Nathan Chapel of Valley City was in charge of the arrangements. Sara Renee Aarseth was born August 17, 1983 the daughter of Allen and Renee (Maasjo) Aarseth in Valley City, North Dakota. She was baptized at Messiah Lutheran Church in Fingal, North Dakota and attended the Enderlin Public School through the fourth grade. The family moved to Maple Valley where she graduated high school in May of 2001. At the age of 16, she trained to become a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and worked at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City for 18 years. She loved and cared for many residents over the years. During that time, she also cared for her grandma Edna Maasjo in her home for three years. Sara met the love of her life when she was 17 and married Jason Walker June 23, 2006. Sara loved going to car shows, fishing, deer hunting, playing darts, shopping and her special country drives with her best friend, Jane Spaulding. She leaves behind her husband, Jason Walker; two beautiful daughters, Abby age 11 and Brianna age 9; her parents, Allen and Renee Aarseth; brother Jason (Peggy) Aarseth and their children, Dylan and Payton; sister, Amy Perdue and her children, Samantha, Jacob (Shelby), Jailee and Teanna; sester, Tammy (Steve) Brantley and mother and father-in-law, Everett and Michelle Walker. Sara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Randolph Maasjo, Archie and Carol Aarseth, Donald Aarseth, Duane Aarseth and Verlon Aarseth.
