Description	:	Sarah was the daughter of Simeon Bass and Cynthia York. About 1859 she married Harvey Brown, son of Alexander Brown and Caroline Bishop. They had a son, George A. Her husband, Harvey, had enlisted in the Civil War on Aug 7, 1862. On Sept 23, 1862 he was enlisted in Company E, NH 14th Infantry Regiment. The 1890 Veterans Schedule says when he died he was a Private in Company H NH 13th Infantry. He was killed in service on Feb 16, 1863 at Poolesville, MD. He must have been buried down there. They had a son, George A. Her husband, Harvey, had enlisted in the Civil War on Aug 7, 1862. On Sept 23, 1862 he was enlisted in Company E, NH 14th Infantry Regiment. The 1890 Veterans Schedule says when he died he was a Private in Company H NH 13th Infantry. He was killed in service on Feb 16, 1863 at Poolesville, MD. He must have been buried down there. About 1868 she married Willis Dow Lamkin of Compton, Canada. They had a son, Willis Dow Jr. After he was born Typhoid Fever was becoming almost an epidemic in that part of Quebec. Sarah and her new baby left for New Hampshire to help her father, Simeon Bass, with her mother who was gravely ill with cancer. Willis Dow Sr contracted Typhoid Fever and died less than a month of her leaving. He passed away on September 24, 1869, and was buried on the 26th of September at Ascot Corner, the Universalist Church in Quebec. Sarah did not know he had died and expecting him to arrive she added him to the 1870 census. On Oct 15, 1873 in Lancaster, NH she married Loyal B. Blodgett, son of Joseph B. Blodgett and Cinderilla Brown. They had a son, Lennie B. Her husband, Loyal, died on Nov 26, 1900 per his death certificate (1901 on his headstone). Besides her three husbands, Sarah was predeceased by son Willis Lamkin Jr in 1895, also from Typhoid Fever. Age: 75yrs 2mos 21dys Cause of Death: Stomach Cancer Note: Although the story was that Willis Sr was buried in Ascot Corner in Quebec, his memorial in FAG is in the Lambkin Cemetery in Waterville, Quebec. There is a headstone there for a Willis O. Lambkin, d. Sept 24, 1869, Age: 60yrs 8mos. Possibly they misread it and the middle initial is actually a "D".
