Faulkenberry, aged 65 years, 4 months, and 19 days, died Wednesday at the home of her son-in-law, Edgar W. Smith. She had been sick about two weeks. It was a case of pneumonia fever. She was born at Louisville, Kentucky, and came to Kansas in an early day, and her husband died at New Albany, Kansas. About four years ago she came to Cherokee, where her daughters, Mrs. James Wilson and Mrs. John Imhof, lived. She has been nearly all her life a Christian woman, and only a few weeks ago she handed in her letter to the Methodist Church in this city. Funeral services were held by her pastor, the Rev. C.B. Sears, at the M.E. Church, yesterday, and she was buried beside her husband in the Cherokee cemetery; his remains were brought here at the time of his death. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a good woman and leaves many friends. Six children, two boys and four girls, survive her, four of whom attended the funeral.
