Buckner, died at a hospital in Lincoln at noon Sunday after several years of ill health. Funeral services were held from the First Methodist church (sic) in University Place, Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock, with Rev. Lloyd Rising officiating, assisted by Rev. W.L. Ruyle. Scovill, Art Miller, Frank Hogg, Ralph Otto, Henry VanWormer and H.E. Toof. The late Rev. and Mrs. Buckner were married more than 60 years ago, and it was shortly thereafter that Rev. Buckner was ordained as a Methodist minister in Iowa. They were the parents of three sons, Emory R. of New York City, Arthur of Westerville, Me., and Clyde, who preceded his parents in death. Rev. Buckner died in July, 1934. The Buckners came to Aurora in 1911 when Rev. Buckner accepted the pastorate of the Methodist church (sic) where he continued to serve until 1922 after which they moved to Lincoln.
