Description	:	Mrs. Sarah Alice Moore Geoghagan, 92, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2001 in the Avalon Health Care Center in Lake City, Florida, following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, Mrs. Geoghagan was born in the Falling Creek community of Columbia County on December 22, 1907 to the late Marion and Sarah Sadie Lee Rivers Moore. She was a descendant of the Moore, Rivers, and Goodbread families, all pioneers of Northern Columbia County. Read More	Mrs. Sarah Alice Moore Geoghagan, 92, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2001 in the Avalon Health Care Center in Lake City, Florida, following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, Mrs. Geoghagan was born in the Falling Creek community of Columbia County on December 22, 1907 to the late Marion and Sarah Sadie Lee Rivers Moore. She was a descendant of the Moore, Rivers, and Goodbread families, all pioneers of Northern Columbia County. Mrs. Geoghagan attended Columbia County community schools and was a graduate of the Columbia High School class of 1926. She was employed as a practical nurse and taught public school after receiving her teaching certificate from the University of Florida. She also worked as a teller at the First National Bank, which was purchased by NCNB/Nations Bank, from 1944 until her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Geoghagan is remembered fondly by many associates and friends as Mrs. G.. Following retirement, Mrs. Geoghagan was a member of and volunteered with the Lake Shore Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed traveling and visiting her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake City, Falling Creek United Methodist Church and Falling Creek Chapel. Mrs. Geoghagan is survived by daughters, Julia Geoghagan Osburn, Lake City and Ann Geoghagan Shiver (Bill) of Perry, Florida; sisters, Annie Elizabeth (Bess) Pigott, Peachtree City, Georgia; Margaret Rooks, Jacksonville, Florida; Esther Moore, Lake City, Florida; eleven grandchildren, twentyfour greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat granddaughter. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Geoghagan will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in the Biggs Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cheryl Pingle officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 58:00 Monday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the BIGGS FUNERAL HOME, 3801 S.
