Description	:	Sarah Anne Croan was born in Grayson CO,KY and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. George Metzger, 18 Aug 1920 at the age of 91ys 8ms 23ds. Death came as the result of a paralytic stroke. She united in marriage with Jas Rowe 8 Aug 1849. Eight girls & 1 boy were born to them. The husband & five children preceded her in death. Since the death of her husband, which occcured thirty years ago (1890), she has made her home with her daughter, where she received every kindness that would add to comfort & happiness. At... Read More	Sarah Anne Croan was born in Grayson CO,KY and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. George Metzger, 18 Aug 1920 at the age of 91ys 8ms 23ds. Death came as the result of a paralytic stroke. She united in marriage with Jas Rowe 8 Aug 1849. Eight girls & 1 boy were born to them. The husband & five children preceded her in death. Since the death of her husband, which occcured thirty years ago (1890), she has made her home with her daughter, where she received every kindness that would add to comfort & happiness. At the age of 15 she united with the Methodist church & about 20 years ago became a member of the Church of the Brethren. Always enjoying service and Christian fellowship and ever willing to lend a helping hand in any time of need. She leaves to mourn her departure 3 daughters 1 son 18 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the home of Mrs. George Metzger on the 18th. of August. The Rev. H. L. Brammell was in charge. Burial at the Olive Branch Cemetery.
