MILLER Mrs. Sarah Miller, after an affliction of rheumatism for many months, died at her home southeast of here Saturday morning at near ten o'clock. Mrs. Miller was greatly esteemed by all who knew her for her kindly disposition. Her willingness to aid any in need often gave her an opportunity of extending the helping hand, and her kind word and pleasant smile was often the means of expelling gloom from a weary heart. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 o'clock, at the Brick church west of town, the Rev. L. W. Teetor officiating. Subject of the discourse, 'Immortality brought to Light.' Text, Second Timothy, 1:10. The church choir sand, 'Come Unto me,' We Are Going Down the Valley,' 'Asleep in Jesus,' 'Dearest Sister, Thou hast left Us,' 'Safe in the Arms of Jesus' and 'Peacefully Lay her Down to rest.' Interment was made in the Brick church cemetery. The bearers were Milton M. Miller, Martin Worl, William Cleveland, Edwin Stamm, John Kiser, and W. A. Kirby. OBITUARY Sarah Ann, daughter of David and Catharine Lontz, was born September 6, 1852, on the old homestead now owned by Milton Miller, about two and one-half miles southeast of Hagerstown, Ind., and died September 7, 1912, at her home, one-third mile north of where she was born, at the age of 60 years and 1 day. On July 20, 1879, she was married to Montraville Miller, with whom she lived a peaceful and pleasant life. There was born unto them one daughter, Mamie, who remained at home and cared for her mother, through the long years of her affliction. About 21 years ago she, with her husband, joined the Christian church, at Hagerstown, under the ministry of Rev. Thomas Brandon. She was more or less afflicted for nearly 30 years, the last five years of which her sufferings were often intense; but through it all she was very patient. Being deprived of attending any church service,e she often proposed song service with her family and engaged in prayer. When she realized the approach of death, she said to her family' 'Don't worry and fret, God will make it all right,' and last of all was heard to say repeatedly" Oh! Lord, help!' until she was gone. Besides her daughter already mentioned, she leaves her husband, Three brothers, David, of Wenatchee, Wash., Jesse R. of Oxford, Cal., and Edward, of Winchester, Ind, and Mrs. Catherine Thalls, of Hagerstown, to mourn her departure."
