Description	:	Boone County Democrat August 27, 1914 Mrs. F.W. Hunter, residing about two miles west of Madrid, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 1914, at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 11 days. Mrs. Hunter, whose maiden name was Sarah Ann Platt, was born in Dallas county, Iowa, Oct. 8, 1851. With her parents she removed to Bolival, Mr., in 1868 where on Jan. 3, 1870 she was united in marriage to Francis W. Hunter. Hunter, residing about two miles west of Madrid, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 1914, at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 11 days. Mrs. Hunter, whose maiden name was Sarah Ann Platt, was born in Dallas county, Iowa, Oct. 8, 1851. With her parents she removed to Bolival, Mr., in 1868 where on Jan. 3, 1870 she was united in marriage to Francis W. Hunter. The family located in this community several years ago and have since made their home here. To Mr. and Mrs. Hunter were born eight children, the oldest passing away while in infancy. The other seven, with the husband, still survive, and five of them were present at her bedside at the hour of dissolution. Four brothers, one sister, one half-brother, ten grandchildren and a host of friends, also mourn her departure. In 1898 Mrs. Hunter became a member of the Presbyterian church and her devotion to the principles she espoused has been marked. Funeral services over her remains were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Christian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R.A. Lewis. A goodly number of the old friends of the deceased joined the bereaved relatives in paying their last tribute of affection to the memory of the one they had known so well in life. The remains were interred in the Mt. Hope cemetery.---Madrid Register News.
