Waiting for her was her beloved husband George, her son Lyle, and daughter Donna Philpott. Sadie is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by many other family and friends. Waiting for her was her beloved husband George, her son Lyle, and daughter Donna Philpott. Sadie is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by many other family and friends. Sadie was born in NewCastle on Pine, England June 18, 1905, but spent most of her life in Brooks. She loved curling, golfing, and playing Bridge every week with her beloved friends. Sadie was an excellent cook, her apple pies were her specialty. She was active in the community and Eastern Star. Sadie Philpott was a real lady. Marjorie Stuart Rose and Rose Northcott as well as many family and friends were looking forward to celebrating Sadie's ninety-ninth birthday June 18, 2004. The staff of the nursing home where she resided in her later years all loved Sadie and will miss her dearly. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11 at Brooks United Church, Rev. George Edmonds officiating.
