Daily Ledger Tuesday February 25, 1947 Pg. 3 Col. 8 Mrs. Armstrong Dies At Home In Batavia Mrs. Sarah Armstrong, 91, mother of Mrs. Albert Sauer, 506 W. Washington street, passed away at ten o'clock this morning at her home in Batavia. She was born on December 16, 1855, in Batavia, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Acton (sic. Acklin) Sheets and was married on December 16, 1873 to Robert Armstrong. He passed away on January 8, 1908. Besides Mrs. Sauer, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Olive Harper and Mrs. Jennie Alfred of Burlington and Mrs. Arminda Knott of Missouri, and two sons William at home and Elmer of Chicago. The body is at the Campbell Rupp funeral home in Batavia pending funeral arrangements. -------------------- Fairfield Ia. Daily Ledger Wednesday February 26, 1947 Pg. 3 Col. 6 Armstrong Funeral Tomorrow Afternoon Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Armstrong, who passed away at her home in Batavia yesterday morning, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Rupp funeral home in Batavia. The Rev. John A. E. Cunningham will conduct the service and burial will be in the Church of the Brethren cemetery east of Batavia.
