Williamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williamson, was born in Mercer County, Missouri, Sept. 7, 1849, and died Aug. 7, 1916, at the age of 66 yrs. and 11 mo. She was married Sept. 27, 1869 to Elias McKinney. To this union ten children were born, two being dead. Those who survive her are Mrs. Dave Cobern, Will, Earl, Hatton, Mrs. Tisha Martin, all of New Virginia, iowa, Minnie Harsh of Davis City, Mo., Susie Iwed of Osceola and Nora McHenry of Weta, South Dakota. The deceased was converted and joined the United Brethren Church at 25 years of age. The funeral services were held at the U. B. Church, conducted by Dr. George Miller of Des Moines, Iowa, by the request of the deceased, to a large and sympathetic congregation at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 8th. The deceased chose her own songs and text: Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, from hence forth, yea saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them. The children were all at her bed side when she passed away, also her sister, Mrs. Motashia Hudgel and brother, Thomas Williamson, and aged mother who is past 92 years of age. The pall bearers were Link Martin, Joe Weakland, Bill McKinney, Perry Trumbo, Link Smith and Wesley Harsh.
