She was married in 1830 to Thomas Murrell, who died in 1864; was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom are still living. Read More	Married: before 1827. ____________________ "Mrs. Sarah B Murrell, whose maiden name was Childs, was born in Virginia May 10, 1811, and died of cancer, in Bloomington, March 11, 1887, aged seventy-five years, ten months. She was married in 1830 to Thomas Murrell, who died in 1864; was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom are still living. In 1833 they removed to Ohio and settled in Clinton County, near Bloomington, and she has lived in this neighborhood ever since, nearly fifty-four years. In 1852 Mrs. Murrell united with the M.P. Church at East Grove Meeting-house, was converted and has lived a consistent Christian life. She was a faithful attendant upon the means of grace while her health permitted, but for some years the infirmities of age prevented her from enjoying this privilege. She was a kind neighbor, a faithful wife and loving mother, and left a good example, which all should follow. Being of a quiet disposition she made little outward demonstration, but rather gave evidence of one "dwelling in the secret place of the Most High," and a quiet "abiding under the shadow of the Almighty." A patient sufferer, although partially deprived of speech she was often heard to mention the name of Jesus and spoke of seeing a heavenly light. Quietly she passed away, gently, "Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him, and lies down to pleasant dreams." She is not dead, but liveth. Children, strive to meet her in that land where there is no death." Samuel Allen preached the funeral sermon in the M.E.
