She had been in a critical condition for two weeks past. She was in her 78th year. The deceased was formerly Miss Sarah Bailey, born and reared in East Lewistown, Mahoning county. Early in life she was married to Abram Miller and settled in Columbiana, where Mr. Miller died about 20 years ago. The funeral was held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from the late home in Columbiana. After a painful illness of several weeks, death came to the release of Mrs. Sara B. Gilbert, wife of Jacob Gilbert, at their home in Columbiana, at six o'clock last Wednesday evening. From the Mahoning Dispatch, 08/01/1902: Mrs. Sarah Gilbert of Columbiana died last week Wednesday night of Bright's disease, aged nearly 78 years. She was first married to Abraham Miller, June 19th, 1841. Mr. Miller died in 1879, and then four years later, August 7, 1883, she was married to Jacob Gilbert, who survives her. Mrs. Gilbert was a life long member of the German Lutheran Church. She is survived by four children and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dunning of Canfield, who is last of a family of 11 children. Funeral services were held Sunday morning.
