Few of the many friends of the family knew of her illness; consequently the shock of the news of her death was accentuated. She did not go to school Friday, yet did not appear seriously sick. She appeared little worse Saturday and conversed normally with her parents early in the afternoon, just before sinking into a slumber from which she never awakened. Death was attributed to a bilious attack, combined with heart failure. Sarah Beth Stuve was born April 15, 1927 and was seven years, five months and 28 days old at the time of her demise. A bright, alert child of sweet and sunny disposition and apparently in the best of health comparatively few hours before her passing, she will be missed sorely by her parents, her elder sister, Jean, other relatives, her schoolmates and a host of friends she had acquired in her all too brief span of life. Only a fraction of the hundreds present were able to be accommodated in the Zion Lutheran church here Tuesday afternoon, where funeral services were held at 2 o'clock. Previous rites were held at the home at 1:30. The church pastor, the Rev. George Obermeyer, officiated. Beautiful floral bouquets were banked against the white casket. Attending the services in a body were her schoolmates and also the school children of the neighboring school, taught by Miss Leona Longacre, sister of Mrs. Fred Stuve. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery. To the grief stricken parents and elder sister and to the others who mourn the loss of a dearly loved one, sympathy is extended.
