R. Andrew, on Tuesday morning. For several years, deceased has made her home with her children in Nebraska, but was in failing health and came here last fall where it was thought she could be better cared for. She was a kindly old lady, respected by every acquaintance, just such a mother as children worship and honor as age creeps on. The funeral was held at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. E. O. Machamer, and the burial took place in the Lake Preston cemetery. The floral offerings were many and very appropriate. Lake Preston Odd Fellows, of which organization the resident son of the deceased is a member, acted as escort to the procession. Mrs. Sarah Trapp was born in the state of Ohio, Setp. 6, 1825, and died at the home of her son, A.R. Andrew, in Lake Preston, S. D., on May 8, 1906, aged 80 years, 8 mos. and 2 days. She leaves one sister, who lives in Indiana, three sons, John W. Andrew, of Geneva, Neb., George Andrew, of Randolph, Neb., and A. R. Andrew, of Lake Preston, S. D., also three daughters, Mrs. Sarah A. Richmond, of Mt. Ida, Wis., Mrs. Nancy Streeter, of Oldham, S. D., and Mrs. Mina L. Long, of Lake Preston, all six of whom were present at the last sad rites except Mrs. Sarah Richmond. One daughter, Mathilda Norton, preceded her to the other world by two years. She united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1841, at the age of 16 years, and in communion and fellowship of this church she remained until death transferred her triumphantly to the joys of heavenly companionships. She was a faithful wife and companion, a loving and dutiful mother and a good neighbor. Many who know here will rise up and call her blessed. "A hoary head is a crown of glory if it be found in the way of righteousness."
