She was married Sept. 1, 1840, to Archibald M. Campbell. Of this union thirteen children were born, nine sons and four daughters, all of which grew to manhood and womanhood except one daughter. Ten children still live, of whom four sons were at the funeral: S.M. Campbell of Parsons, with whom she has made her home the past ten years; G.B. Campbell of Belden, Neb.; N.A. Campbell of this city; and L.A. Campbell of Harlan, Iowa. Archibald M. Campbell died July 27, 1864. Nineteen years later she was married to Robt. Freeman, who died Nov. 30, 1893. Since then she has lived with her children. She has lived a Christian for more than seventy years, being with the Presbyterian, Baptist and Christian organizations. She was identified with the Church of Christ for about fifty years. Funeral services were held at the Christian church on Christmas day by the pastor, Rev. Pyle, and her remains were interred in the Cherokee cemetery. She had come here on a visit three weeks before her death and was taken ill. She was a good woman. Her four sons and two grandsons asked the privilege of acting as pallbearers and they gently laid their good mother away. Contributed by Cheryl White
