She had been in declining health for two months and her condition had been considered serious three weeks. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Surry County, the daughter of Lemuel and Nancy Stanly McGee. She had lived in Winston-Salem for the past 15 years. Her husband, Monroe Jenkins, died in 1931. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe Wood and Mrs. J. W. Wood; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Hudson, of Alamance county; and two brothers, J. W. McGee, of Forsyth county, and J. T. McGee of Surry county. Funeral will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Joe Wood and at 3 o'clock at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. In charge of the service here will be Reverend Walser Allen and Reverend A. C. Peeler. Reverend James Creed and Reverend T. S. Draughn will officiate at the church service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include: J. D. Royal, S. L. Poindexter, C. D. Slater, H. C. Thomas, T. E. Wood, and Tommie Poindexter.
