Description	:	Sarah Emma Toler passed away peacefully at home and went to be with her Lord and the love of her life, Jerrett [Jarrett] "Edward" Toler, February 21, 2011 at age 93. She was the eldest of three daughters, born and raised in Morton, Washington. Her parents were Clarence and Winifred Chapman. Read More	Sarah Emma Toler passed away peacefully at home and went to be with her Lord and the love of her life, Jerrett [Jarrett] "Edward" Toler, February 21, 2011 at age 93. She was the eldest of three daughters, born and raised in Morton, Washington. Her parents were Clarence and Winifred Chapman. As a young lady she ran the Riffe General Store in Riffe, Washington and her husband Ed was in the sawmill business which later brought them and their two sons, Bob and Jerry, to California where the timber industry was flourishing. Emma worked and retired from Palco after 28 years as the department manager in the main office; a job she was very proud of having done for so many years. Emma enjoyed traveling in the RV, spending time at Ruth Lake, bowling, crafting, and gardening and being with her family. She was a long-time member of the Elks Club and they were also members of the Bridgeville Dance Club and various other dance clubs where she and her husband really enjoyed themselves, dancing and socializing with friends. Grandma Emma so loved everyone in her life. She was supportive and encouraging no matter what, never having a bad word to say about anyone and never complained about anything. She was always in a good mood and her eyes were bright and shining with interest in what you had to say, she would give her fullest attention and be sincere while speaking to you. If you were working on a project, she would show great interest in what you were doing. Grandma also showed great appreciation for anything you did for her that she could no longer do for herself. Grandma Emma was so gracious and giving of her love to everyone and especially her Lord. She was a 25-year member of the Hydesville Community Church where she worshiped, made many friends and helped to keep the pantry for the needy stocked. She will be greatly missed by her church family. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Edward Toler of 59 years. Emma is survived by; her sons, Bob Toler and long time love, Joan Biss, Jerry and Lois Toler and Haley, grandchildren; Deb Cauvey, Susie Matson, Mike Hess, Barb and Stacy Taylor and children Jerrica and Tanner, Angela and Gene Yates and children Ashleigh, Brandon, Michaela, and Robbie, Jennifer Toler and fianc‚, John Boak and daughter Shelbi Toler, Kevin and Kathy Toler and son Zachary, May Lynn Toler and daughters Maria and Nicole Toler, and John and Carol Toler. A memorial service will be held March 1, 2011 at Hydesville Community Church, Hydesville, California at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Michael Delamarian III will be the officiating. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Humboldt for their care and attentiveness to our beloved Mother and Grandma during her last days with us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emma's name to Hospice of Humboldt, 2010 Myrtle Ave., Eureka, CA 95501 or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care of Gobles Mortuary, Fortuna, California.
