Description	:	Sarah Frances "Fannie" (Roberts) Roberts was the first wife of Roger R. Roberts and mother of three known children. She was the daughter of John Roberts and Frances "Franky" (Mace) Roberts. A source for Fannie's maiden name and her parents is "The History of Marion County, South Carolina" by W. W. Sellers. Sellers states on page 210 that Rowland's son, "Roger, maried first to a Miss Roberts, daughter of Colonel John Roberts; they had four or five children, boys and girls, when their mother died, and Roger married again - I do not know whom." On page 212... Read More	Sarah Frances "Fannie" (Roberts) Roberts was the first wife of Roger R. Roberts and mother of three known children. On page 212 Sellers states that Roger's first wife, "Miss Roberts", was a daughter of Col. John M. Roberts and his wife, Franky Mace, who is shown in the records to have been named Frances Mace. Thus Roger's wife "Fannie" was no doubt named for her mother, Frances "Franky" (Mace) Roberts. This is the same information that Roberts descendants have found in their family or public records and that is shown in local sources. Roger and Sarah Frances had the following children: - John F. Roberts mar. 1/Helen Blanton 2/Celia Lula Pridgen - Birch Roberts (born c.1867, no further data) - Mary Roberts (born c.1869, no further data) - Martha Attelia Roberts mar.
