Description	:	Sarah "Helen" Cannaday, 87, of Glencoe, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at Glencoe Care Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Sarah was born March 15, 1915, in Wayne County, Ky., the daughter of Millard F. and Myrtie (Carlee) Grayer. She received her education in Iowa and Missouri, attaining a teacher's certificate. She taught for a short time at a country school in Missouri. She married the Rev. Daniel E. Cannaday. This union was blessed with a daughter, Danni. Sarah was a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, where she and Rev. Daniel served as pastor and wife, retiring in 1973. She also was a member of Eastern Star. Sarah was much loved and respected as a minister's wife, mother-in-law, stepmother, grandmother and friend to many. Survivors include a daughter, Danni and her husband, James Schroeder of Buffalo Lake, Minn.; four stepsons, Charles Cannaday of Kirksville, Mo., the Rev. Kenneth Cannaday of Cape Coral, Fla., the Rev. Dr. Travis Cannaday of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada, and Martin Cannaday of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Lucille E. Welden of Blue Springs, Mo.; a grandson, Brandon James Schroeder of Buffalo Lake; many stepgrandchildren; and a brother, a sister, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three stepsons, an infant, Clifford, Lt. Claude Cannaday and the Rev. Carl Cannaday; two stepdaughters, Vera Van De Voort and Ruth Barrett; and several brothers and sisters. Memorial may be directed to Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church.
