Sally Decker was born March 24, 1916, in Hitchcock where she grew up. She attended country schools and Redfield High School. She married Mike Hofer on July 2, 1937, in Miller. They farmed in the Yale area. Her husband died Feb. 25, 1954. She married George Waldner in August 1954 in the Minneapolis area. She worked for Munsingwear in Minneapolis for several years. Survivors include two sons: Larry Hofer, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; and Terry Hofer, Livermore, Calif.; two daughters: Mrs. Vernon (Sandra) Waldner, Coon Rapids, Minn.; and Mrs. LeRoy (Patricia) Anderson, Zimmerman, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers: David Decker, Reedley, Calif.; Harry Decker, Henderson, Nev.; Joe Decker, Seattle, Wash.; Rueben Decker, Kirkland, Wash.; and Albert Decker, Huron; five sisters; Karthry Glanzer, Adena Hofer, Ann Wipf, Gladys Wedel and Alberta Walter, all of Huron; and may nieces and nephews. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in Bethel Mennonite Church, rural Yale with burial in the church cemetery.
