She lived near Morse Bluffs as a child and on March 4, 1892, she married Jesse Hager at North Bend. After marriage, they farmed near North Bend until 1903 when they moved to Ames. She had lived at Grand Island for the last 12 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include sons, Eli of Omaha, Lester R. of San Jose, Calif.; Lee of Elkhorn, daughters, Mrs. Amy Sorensen, Mrs. Leonard Jensen, both of Grand Island, Mrs. J. B. Talbott of Wichita, Kans.; brother, John Slack of Tacoma, Wash.; sister, Mrs. Anna Hager of Roswell, N. M.; 12 grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death March 9, 1940.
