Description	:	Obituary: MRS JOHN G MIXELL Sarah Jane Barrick was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, March 28th, 1851 and departed this life at her home in Stanwood, April 11th, 1928, aged 77 years and 18 days. She grew to womanhood in her native state, and on October 6, 1870, was united in marriage to John G Mixell. To this union 11 children were born. She is survived by her husband, seven children, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, beside one brother Jonathan Barrack [sic] of Carlisle Pennsylvania. She grew to womanhood in her native state, and on October 6, 1870, was united in marriage to John G Mixell. To this union 11 children were born. She is survived by her husband, seven children, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, beside one brother Jonathan Barrack [sic] of Carlisle Pennsylvania. The surviving children are as follows: Mrs Robert Eichelberger of Stanwood, William of Tipton, John and Robert of Armstrong, Iowa; Ambrose of Olivia, Minn., Andrew and Harry of Randolf, Wis. She came with her husband to Iowa about twenty-five years ago and have lived in various parts of Cedar County, until 8 years ago, when they moved to Stanwood, where they have since resided. In early life she gave her life to God, and united with the United Bretheren Church in Mt Tabor, Penn. On coming to Stanwood, she and her husband joined this church by certificate from their home church, May 23rd, 1920. She was a devout Christian, loved the church, and was always interested in the success of its work. In her more active years in her old home church she was always faithful in attendance upon the services and shared devotedly in its work. The funeral was held in the Methodist church on Friday afternoon at 2:30. The services were conducted by Rev E R K__low. A quartette composed of Mrs Richard, Mrs McCoy, F A McCoy and H F H___meyer sang, Mrs _____ at the organ. The pallbearers were Jas Spear, L W Davidson, W S P__le, G S Findlay, H J Hart, and B E Bargess. Interment was in the Stanwood cemetery. The husband and family have the sincere sympathy of the whole community in the bereavement. A good woman has gone to her well earned rest. Let us rejoice that there remains a rest for the people of God.
