Description	:	Mrs. Sarah Modlin, wife of J. W. Modlin, one of the old residents of Albion, died at her home there at 9:00 Saturday night of complication of ailments due to old age. Mrs. Modlin had been in poor health practically all of her life, but she began to fall quite rapidly two weeks ago. Mrs. Modlin had been in poor health practically all of her life, but she began to fall quite rapidly two weeks ago. Mrs. Modlin was 77 years of age, and she had been a resident of Albion for 44 years. Mrs. Modlin's maiden name was Sarah Jane Lenhart. She was born in Indiana on March 7, 1839. Her parents moved to Clarksville when she was 16 years old. June 17, 1862 she became the wife of John Wesley Modlin, who survives her. They moved from Clarksville to Polk City, in Polk County in 1862, remaining there until November 7, 1872 when they came to Albion. Mr. and Mrs. Modlin were the parents of four children two boys and two girls, three of them who died in infancy. The fourth , a daughter, Mrs. Martha Modlin Meeks, died when she was 20 years of age. Two sisters: Mrs. Susan Thomas of Albion, and Mrs. A. Mulligan of Agar, South Dakota and three brothers survive her. The latter are John and Henry Lenhart of Rosenberg, Texas and W. (Washington) Lenhart of Minneapolis. The funeral will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Albion Cemetery. Pall bearers were J. D. Fraley, John Thomas, C. J. Alderman, William Presnall, Charles Palmer and M. F. McKibbon. Mrs. M. F. McKibbon, Rev. R. B. Fisher, Mrs. J. D. Fraley and A. L. Burgett sang.
