Description	:	Sarah 'Jane' Rabon was the daughter of George & Jemimah Rabon of Horry County, SC. She married Joseph Martin of Marion Co., SC about 1857. They lived in Marion Co. in the early years of their marriage (where all of their children were born) & relocated to Horry Co. after 1880. They were living in the Pleasant Union section when Joseph Martin died in 1895. He was buried at Pleasant Union Bapt. Church in Horry, SC. Read More	Sarah 'Jane' Rabon was the daughter of George & Jemimah Rabon of Horry County, SC. She married Joseph Martin of Marion Co., SC about 1857. They lived in Marion Co. in the early years of their marriage (where all of their children were born) & relocated to Horry Co. after 1880. They were living in the Pleasant Union section when Joseph Martin died in 1895. He was buried at Pleasant Union Bapt. Church in Horry, SC. Wife Sarah, went to live with her son, Joseph Whiteford Martin about 1902 in Aynor, SC (about 7 miles away from Pleasant Union area). One day in 1909 Sarah was gathering eggs (in her apron) when she was struck with a severe stroke. As she walked up on the front porch, then fainted & eggs went rolling everywhere. She died the following morning at the home on Jamie Rd., Aynor living with her youngest child, J. W. Martin & an old maid daughter named Bessie Martin (Shelley). Mrs. Martin was laid to rest at Antioch Baptist Church near Aynor, SC. There is no date on her tombstone. She was about 69 years old at the time of her death. Her grandson, Jamie Rabon (son of Mary) was born just a day or so after his grandmother died in 1909. He is the one who told me what year she died as it was the same month & year he was born.
