Description	:	Saturday afternoon at the family residence 616 Crawford street occurred the death of one of Boone's old and highly respected residents, when Mrs. Sarah Lowry, wife of Chauncey Lowry passed away after a short illness. Mrs. Sarah Lowry, whose maiden name was Burnside, was born in New York State in 1827. She removed at an early age to Ohio where she resided for a short time and then came to Boone where she has lived for many years. In 1848 she was married to Chauncey Lowry. Mrs. Sarah Lowry, whose maiden name was Burnside, was born in New York State in 1827. She removed at an early age to Ohio where she resided for a short time and then came to Boone where she has lived for many years. In 1848 she was married to Chauncey Lowry. Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Lowry, one son, Butler of Chicago and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Crum of Durand, Wis., who with the husband and one step-son, Albert of this city, are left to mourn her loss. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence, Rev. Harris of the M.E. church officiating. The remains were interred in Linwood cemetery.
