Sarah Jaeschke was born March 25, 1903, on a farm near Groton, to Charles and Emma (Dahme) Jaeschke. She was raised on the farm and attended rural schools. She attended Stratford High School. She married Oscar Reber at James September 10, 1928. They lived on her parents farm all their lives. Her husband died in 1944. Reber was a member of James Lutheran Church, where she served as organist. She was a member of West Hanson Church and when that closed, she became a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a member of Good Cheer Circle and Groton Senior Citizens. Survivors include one son, Wesley Reber, Aberdeen; three daughters, Mrs. Duwaine (Irene) Gunderson, Westport; Mrs. Frances Habeck, Aberdeen and Mrs. Jim (Janice) Fulker, Salem, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandsons, one great-grandson and three brothers. Organist was Eileen Schuelke. Soloist was David Sueltz. Casketbearers were Gale Gunderson, Dale Gunderson, Pat Gunderson, Clarence Habeck Jr., Raymond Habeck, Wayne Cease and Loel Schott.
