Description	:	BUMGARDNER, SARAH H.—Sarah M. Price was born in Ohio August 5, 1847. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lois E. Collett, in Beatrice, Neb., August 5, 1930, aged eighty-three years. She was united in marriage to George H. Bumgarnder August 5, 1866. She remained in Ohio until 1872 when Mr. and Mrs. Bumgardner moved to their homestead eight miles west of Geneva. They lived on the homestead until 1886 when they moved to Geneva, which has been the home since. In her early life she united with the United Brethren church, but after her removal... Read More	BUMGARDNER, SARAH H.—Sarah M. Price was born in Ohio August 5, 1847. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lois E. Collett, in Beatrice, Neb., August 5, 1930, aged eighty-three years. She was united in marriage to George H. Bumgarnder August 5, 1866. She remained in Ohio until 1872 when Mr. and Mrs. Bumgardner moved to their homestead eight miles west of Geneva. They lived on the homestead until 1886 when they moved to Geneva, which has been the home since. In her early life she united with the United Brethren church, but after her removal to Nebraska she united with the Methodist Episcopal church, in which she was an active worker as long as her health permitted and was a devout Christian. She was a charter member of the Woman's Relief corps.Eight children, four daughters and four sons, were born to this union. One daughter and three sons survive: Lois E. Collett of Beatrice; J. A. Bumgardner of San Benito, Tex.; F.C. of Ong, Neb.; and G. A. of Geneva; also twenty grandchildren and sixteen great- grandchildren. Her husband passed away March 8, 1914.The funeral service was held in the Methodist church, Geneva, at 2 p .m. Thursday, August 7. Rev. C. H. Lind of Fairmont conducted the service. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal, Geneva Nebraska 14 August 1930.
