SARAH M. BOYD. Mrs. Sarah M. Boyd, 68, wife of William Boyd, 305 East Hill avenue, died at her home at 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The daughter of James and Mary J. Young, she was born in Wapello county March 14, 1880, and had lived in Ottumwa for approximately 50 years. She was married May 17, 1898 to Mr. Boyd, who survives her. She attended the First Church of the Open Bible. Also surviving are two sons, George A. Boyd, Ottumwa, and Ernest E. Boyd, Agency, and three daughters, Mrs. Erma Pickerell, Ottumwa; Mrs. Mabel Eddy, Whittier, Calif., and Miss Maxine Boyd, Ottumwa. Twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Sam Young, Mystic, and Jess Young, Toledo, Ohio, and a half brother, Fred Strong, Ottumwa, also survive. Preceding her in death were her parents, one son, two sisters, and one half brother. Funeral services will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. T.A. Tousley of the First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be made in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the First Church of the Open Bible.
