Description	:	Mrs. Sarah M. Gooden, aged seventy-six years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.C. Shamp, in South Omaha, Monday, January 13, of pneumonia, following an illness of eight weeks. Mrs. Gooden was the widow of Thomas G. Gooden, who homesteaded in Liberty township, Fillmore county, in 1871, who died in 1895, and is interred in the soldier's home cemetery at Milford. The Gooden's lived in Fairmont from 1876 until 1887, when they located in Friend. Mrs. Gooden leaves five sons and three daughters and numerous other relatives.
