Description	:	Mrs. Sarah Blair Passes Away at Home of Daughter Here Mrs. Sarah Blair, 87 years old, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed George, Saturday. She had been bedfast since mid December. Death was attributed to cancer and old age. Mrs. Blair, since the death of her husband in 1921, made her home with her two daughters, Mrs. George and Mrs. Alice Kepler of Plainview, usually spending the winters here. McFarland was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, August 3, 1849. At the time of her passing, March 27, 1937, she was 87 years, seven months and 24 days old. March 19, 1868 she was married to Hiram M. Blair at Chariton, Iowa. To this union six children were born, two of whom, Annie and Mary, preceded her in death. With her husband and family, she moved from Humeston, Iowa to Plainview in November, 1901. In April 1902, they moved from Plainview to their farm three miles north of Brunswick. Her husband preceded her in death March 12, 1921. She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Alice Kepler, Plainview, Mrs. Cora George, Creighton; two sons, Earl J. Blair, Winnetoon, Ralph D. Blair, Brunswick; two brothers, Wilmer McFarland, Chariton, Iowa and Frank McFarland, Casper, Wyo. Mrs Blair's passing is also mourned by friends and acquaintances, she accumulated during her years of residence in this section. ...The Creighton News 1 April 1997
