Read More	DEATH OF MRS. SARAH MILES JONES Again the grim Reaper has been our midst. This time he has chosen another person well known in this county, Mrs. Sarah Miles Jones, wife of Thos. Jones, (North). Mrs. Jones was born July 10, 1813 in Denbyshire, Wales, and consequently would have been 77 years of age the 10 day of this month. She came to America with her parents in the year 1829. The family moved to Pittsburgh, Pa., March 29th, 1831. She was married to Thomas Jones at Pittsburgh. Thirteen children, seven sons, and six daughters blessed their union. She leaves surviving her a husband, four sons, and five daughters. All of the children, with one exception, live in this county. Of the sons, John, and Jonah are dead. T.M., formerly connected with the Star, E.T., now engaged in the coal business. Wm., who lives on the home farm in Franklin township and Miles, the present manager of Tropic Furnace, are the survivors. John M. was for many years connected with the Star Furnace, and Jonah was, we believe, Foundryman at Tropic. The surviving daughters are Elizabeth (Cal.) Jones, Mrs. George Gilliland, Mrs. Henry Harshbarger, Mrs. John T. Horton and Mrs. D.L. Morgan of Moriah. Mrs. Jones became a member of the Baptist Church at twelve years of age, before she came to this country, and continued in fellowship with that Church up to date of her death which occurred June 24th, 1890. She was always an earnest, consistent, faithful Christian woman. The funeral services were held at the Baptist Church, Thursday, Rev. Gunter officiating. Mrs. Jones was suffering from a slight stroke of paralysis and had been ill for several months, but the immediate cause of her death was the rupture of a blood vessel. It is sad to contemplate death under any circumstances, but in the present instance, the husband and the children, who mourn a wife and mother, have the consolations that faith in the divine providence of God _______. They sorrow _____ loss of the dead friend they have known on earth but rejoice in the knowledge that the life gone out was spent according to injunctions of One who is mightier than men are, even the Lord of earth and of Heaven. Her years have been full, and now, at the last ___lieth down to slumber, biding summons that is to call all th___ mortal to take on immortality.
