Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 21 at 2:30 p.m. at Mathews Chapel Methodist Church, of which she was a member, conducted by Rev. V. P. Locke. Interment was made in the family plot at Chapel Cemetery. The body rested at Foster's Funeral Home, Blakes, until the hour of service. Active pallbearers were: Stan Bassett, Romie Morris, Archie Cray, Paul Bassett, Basil Acey, and Luther Cray.
