Read More	Obituary - GoUpstate.com - May 28, 2002 Sarah Price Goforth Bonner Mrs. Sarah Price Goforth Bonner, 80, of 973 Old Post Road, Gaffney, and 726 Peach Shed Rd., Chesnee, died May 26, 2002 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. She was the current wife of Thomas Wilton Bonner, and former wife of the late Grable W. Goforth. She was born in Gaffney, SC to the late D. Frank and Polly Sparks Price. She was a retired Teacher from Cherokee County School District 1, and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also a volunteer at Upstate Carolina Medical Center for a number of years. Survivors in addition to her husband, Thomas Wilton Bonner, of the home, is a daughter, Sandra Kay Jackson, of Gaffney; a stepdaughter, Flora B. Powell, of Chesnee; a grandchild, Greg Jackson, of Charleston, SC; 2 step grand-children, Dr. Brian Powell of Atlanta, GA, and Jennifer Heffen Trager, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a brother, William (Buck) Price, of Gaffney; 4 sisters, Barbara Worrall, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Elizabeth Delasmet, Rebecca Blanton, and Brenda Vassy, all of Gaffney. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28th from 6pm until 8pm at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at 11 AM, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. Terry Duvall and Dr. Herbert Garrett, Jr. officiating, with a Eulogy by Dr. Martha Price McKeon. Mrs. Price will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joe C. Greene, Mark Vassy, Bill Price, Barry Humphries, Frank Price, Randy Bonner, Berry Hughey, Chip Tucker, and Steve Goforth. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 216 Macedonia Rd., Gaffney, SC 29341, or Chesnee First Baptist Church, 211 S. Kentucky Ave., Chesnee, SC 29323. The family is at the home at 973 Old Post Road, Gaffney, SC.
