Porter, who died suddenly last Monday morning while working in the kitchen at her home southwest of Hampton, were held at the home and at St. John's Lutheran Church southeast of Coulter yesterday afternoon. Rev. G.H. Wessel, pastor of the Morgan Center Church, conducted the services and burial was made in the St. John's Church Cemetery. Mrs. Porter, nee Rossetta Loftis, was born Oct. 12, 1876, at Sims, Illinois, and when a young girl moved with her parents to Thurston county, Nebraska, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to William Fenner, and to this union two sons were born. She was preceded in death by Mr. Fenner many years ago. Her marriage to B.F. Porter took place at Tender, Nebraska, March 12, 1917, and the couple came directly to franklin county and had since made their home on a farm southwest of Hampton. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Methodist Church. The deceased is survived by her husband, B.F. Porter, and by three step-children, Miss Elna Porter, Ralph Porter and Virgil Porter; by two sons, Fred Fenner and Floyd Fenner, of Wolf Hill, Nebraska; by three brothers, Frank Loftis, of Holdrege, Nebraska; Jess Loftis, of Brooklyn, South Dakota, and Herbert Loftis, of Laurel Nebraska; and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Randall, of Macy, Nebraska, and Mrs. Myrtle Beemer, of Locon, Oregon.
