He was on his way home when he suddenly collapsed upon finishing his work week. Pete was born August 28, 1956 in Fort Rucker, Alabama to Sayward N. Hall, Jr. and Mary Cowhig Hall. Read More	Sayward (Pete) Newton Hall III-Stone, 54, died Thursday September 23, 2010 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. He was on his way home when he suddenly collapsed upon finishing his work week. Pete was born August 28, 1956 in Fort Rucker, Alabama to Sayward N. Hall, Jr. and Mary Cowhig Hall. Pete lived his life devoted to his wife, children and grandson. He served seven and a half years in the Army, following the footsteps of his father, and leading the way for his son. Upon completing his military career, Pete came home to Thomaston in 1990 and lived out his other dream and passion of restaurant ownership. He and his wife, Valerie, purchased the Dip Net Restaurant in Port Clyde and operated the business for three years before selling and moving into the sea urchin industry, and finally, Pete ventured into new waters in the boat industry, learning a new trade from the ground up. Pete was predeceased by his father, Major Sayward N. Hall, Jr., who was killed in action in Vietnam, and by his niece, Carolyn Marie Hall-Stone. Pete is survived by his wife, Valerie Zocher Hall-Stone of Thomaston; Son, 1st Lt. Sayward N. Hall IV and his wife Mariel of Portland; Daughter, Gretel Johanna Hall-Stone of Thomaston; Mother, Mary C. Stone of Warren; Grandson, Sayward N. Hall V of Portland; Sisters, Nancy Aylward of Rockport, Julie Russell and her husband Greg of Camden, Amy Smith and her husband Everett of Hope; Brothers, Michael Hall and his wife Linda of Camden, Stephen Hall and and his wife Joanna of Rockport, Matthew Hall of Warren; Father-in-law, George Zocher and his wife Judi of Minnesota; Mother-in-law, Colleen Camden of Minnesota; Sister-in-law, Lori Peterson and her husband Kurt of Minnesota; Brother-in-law, Clay Zocher and his wife Tracy of Virginia; Nephews, Christopher and Patrick Aylward of Rockport, Michael Hall, Jr. of South Carolina, Garrett Hall of Camden, Merrill, Andrew, and Isaac Hall all of Rockport, Matthew Hall, Jr. of Warren, Everett Smith, Jr. and Trevor Smith of Hope, Sam Peterson of Minnesota Joshua Zocher of Virginia, Chase and Grant Raborg of Virginia; Nieces, Malea and Megan Russell of Camden, Amelia Zocher of Virginia Burial will be in the Village Cemetery in Thomaston.
