Description	:	Scott A. Miller, 71, of Dakota City died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital after a sudden illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. James de Anda officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Scott was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Sioux City, to Andrew and Margret (Keeton) Miller. He graduated from Sioux City Bishop Heelan. He married Norman Golden on Feb. 12, 1993 in Dakota City. Scott was employed as a business agent with the Sheet Metal Union Local 3 until his retirement in 2002 at the age of 62. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City and the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 3. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family, hunting, loved watching football and boxing. Scott also had a special place in his heart for cats. Survivors include his wife, Norma Golden-Miller; three sons, Mitchell Anest of Baltimore, Md., Troy and his wife Marsha Miller of Nashville, Tenn., and Scottie and his wife Danielle Miller of Lincoln, Neb.; four daughters, Kimberly and husband John Pankonin of Omaha, Deb and her husband Doug Darrah of Wisconsin, Lori and her husband Wes Foley of Omaha, and Tracy Wolf and her significant other Adam Marcotte of Omaha; four stepdaughters, Misty and Ernie Fassich, Dana and Jeff Lenz of Hinton, Iowa, Dawn and Gene Marvin of Sioux City, and Martine and Richard Inlay of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three brothers, Fred Miller of Omaha, Leo Miller of Sioux City, and Mike Miller and his wife Janice of Omaha; one sister, Irene Williams of California; several cousins; and 24 grandchildren, Ben, Brandon, Bethany, Baylie, Aden, Ava, Doug, Jessica, Dustin, Faith, Grace, Joy, Toby, Andrew, Mitchell, Ryan, Kelsey, Andrew, Christian, Brittany, Makayla, Ty, Benjamin and Joshua; 17 stepgrandchildren; and five-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made in Scott's name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation..
