Description	:	UNTIMELY DEATH OF SCOTT CHASE Scott E. Chase died Sunday morning about four o'clock from complications arising from an ulcerated tooth. Saturday night, he was resting easily, but towards morning he began to suffer from swelling under the jaw and wind was completely shut off. Medical attention was given him throughout the night but all efforts to supply him with air were fruitless. Mr. Chase was an old timer in this vicinity having come from Iowa about 16 years ago and homesteaded on a farm south of Webster, where he made numerous friends and was very well thought of as a neighbor. Six years ago, in order to provide schooling for the children the family moved to Baker, Mr. Chase farming during the summer and during the winter he worked for the Keirle Motor Company, at which place he was employed when death reached him. Scott E. Chase was born in Harrison County, Iowa on June 7th, 1883. In 1903 he married Leila Perrin, and through this union there were born three children. In 1910 they moved to their homestead south of Webster. The deceased is survived by his wife, and three children, Lucille, Wilma and Asoph all of Baker, Montana, besides his father Roy of Cuba, New York and brother Earl of Webster, Montana. The body was shipped Monday to Pisga (sp), Iowa, where it will rest beside his mother. The family and brother Earl accompanied it. Funeral services were held at the community hall Monday at 11 a.m. Rev. Eling had charge and the choir composed of Mrs. LaCross, Mrs. Christopher, Denzil Young and Mr. Marks rendered vocal music. The sympathy of the entire community is with the bereaved family in their sudden loss of husband and father.
